Google Maps Street View noch besser

Wer nach einer Alternative zum Street View von Google Maps sucht, dem lege ich Map Jack ans Herz. Der Service bietet zumindest für San Francisco erstklassige Aufnahmen aus der Fußgängerperspektive an. Auf dem Foto habe ich einmal die beiden Dienste verglichen. Es handelt sich hier um die Lombard Street Ecke Franlin Street, oben Map Jack, unten Google.

Wie die Macher von Map Jack auf ihrer Website sagen, reichen für diese Fotos sehr knappe Mittel und ein paar Besuche bei Radio Shack, während andere Leute ein NASA-Budget und Star Wars-ähnliches Equipment zur Verfügung haben. Auf wen die da wohl anspielen? Ich jedenfalls freue mich schon auf weitere Orte mit Map Jack View.
